Enjoy watching a butterfly emerge from it's chrysalis in your home! This kit comes with five Painted Lady caterpillars in a container with enough food to sustain them and a mini pop-up butterfly cage. Watch the caterpillars eat and eat until they pupate. Simply pin the chyrsalis inside the pop-up and wait. When the butterfly ecloses and it's wings are dry and hardened, you can release them outdoors.

- Our insects are captive-bred, but still retain wild genetics. There is no way to guarantee 100% hatch rate for eggs or that 100% of your insects will reach adulthood. Generally, only 1 out of 100 eggs laid in nature survives to adulthood. If the eggs we retain from the same clutch do not hatch, we will issue refunds or replacements to anyone supplied with the same clutch of eggs.
- Over-handling insects can transfer bacteria and viruses to them from your hands or instruments. They are not toys or pets. They are for observation and admiration from a distance.
- If you have concerns about the performance of your eggs or caterpillars, do not throw them away. Please take pictures and send them to us as soon as possible. Include a description or photo of your setup, any measurements of temperature or humidity for their environment that you can supply, the host plant you are using, and any other information that could help us determine what may be the issue with your insects. We are not always able to do a remote diagnosis, but we will try our best to help you.
